I Need Eggs To Finish Baking, Will I My Cake Mix Be Okay If Leave It For Awhile?

I started making a Betty Crocker muffin mix this morning but unfortunately I can't finish it because I have no eggs. It's now 9:42am. I won't be able to go anywhere till about 8pm. Will it be okay for me to leave my half way done muffin mix and wait till then or should I just trash the whole thing and buy a new mix with eggs of course at 8pm?

It Should Be Okay, Just Cover It With Cling Wrap And Store It In the Fridge Until You Have The Eggs.

I have also mixed my muffins and placed in frig.overnight and baked fresh in the morning.

actually you can go ahead and bake them with out the eggs. the texture will be slightly different. keeping them until later gives the batter time to go flat and you run the risk of them not turning out. I'd get an extra mix just in case they don't turn out.
