I Need Help On Which System for BASS!!!!!?

Question

I want to get some subs for my car. Just subs for the trunk. Im not sure whats out there and whats good right now. I want some good subs, not sh*t from best buy.. Can anybody tell me a good sub & amp combo.My budget is around $1000.. ill pay more if there good enough

Yo man you want sumtin that bumps? Check out some Kicker L5's or L7's duals enclosed. There all different prices but dam those things bump. You can probally pick up a box for $700-$800, then you would buy an amp. Hopefully someone on here helps you with the amp setup. Theres alot of guys on here with alota knowledge about car audio. 2- amps , 2- 6"x9", 2- 6"x" , 2- 4" Tweeters, and a NEW PIONEER HEAD UNIT!

don't listed to people that say certain subs are better for a certain kind of music...the sub can't tell the difference in what it is playing. the box determines the musical output of the sub.

Ok, let me tell you straight from a guy who actually knows what he's talking about. Pyle and Sony XPLOD suck. A TOTAL waste of money and I promise you you wont be satisfied. For a thousand, you can get a serious system. JL audio is definately NOT the best car audio out there. Take a look on craigslist.com for a couple of Kicker 15" l7's or l5's. Invest in a nice Hifonics amp, believe me on this one. Dont go cheap. Get a friend who knows about this kind of stuff. Have him make you a box or help you make a box, or research how to make one. DONT go to a car audio shop. I promise you that the price there will be 2x what you'll pay online. For a grand, you can get a very nice system. If you dont have a friend who's good with this stuff, then I would go to the shop for a box and have them install it,even though they're probably going to overprice everything.

i would go with the sony xplod sub woofers they really bring out the low beats which in my favor are the best heart rattling ones:}!!

I cant beleive people are just hating on going to a good shop and getting shiit done by a professional.  For 1000, you got plenty on money to go a lot of different ways.

Interview 3 different shops and try to find a shop that 1- appreciates your business, 2 - has a very open and honest attitude, 3 - is authorized to sell and warranty the gear they sell, and lastly dont give you any pressure to spend every penny you have.  A technically good shop stands by their reputation and work.  It will show and you will know it when you see it.

If you came to my shop, I would want to know several things.

What kind of music do you listen to.  have you had a system before and are you going for overall volume or sound quaility?

there are all kinds of setups that work well but for an average joe customer, this works.  

For Just Pure hip hop Low Tone, Deep Impact Bass,

900 watts rms, Kenwood 9104 Amp, 2 x Kicker CVR 12", Slot Ported Box, Add a Kenwood 8104 Highs Amp and 4 speakers, All installed at about 1000.  

For Rock and Industrial, Metal, Fast Beat Music that needs lots of tone in the music and a more accurate reproduction

of the bass, Change only the subs to Boston  Accoustics G3 12 inch in a sealed box.  Real Accurate subs.
