I Need Help. please. all yall that have went through this.. please answer.?

ok so i started a new school this year and met this guy. hes so funny and i thought i really liked him till we started goin out. but anyways, he always calls me baby. and i never call him that back. i feel like he thinks that i dont like him or something because i dont say it back. we havnt started tellin each other we love each other yet. but im sure its gonna happen soon and im not gonna say i love you back because i dont know why but i dont even feel comfortable saying baby to him. can someone please tell me what to do or if you have been through this same thing before?

ps- hes one of my first boyfriends.

You need to find someway to make yourself more comfortable around him. Once you say baby once you'll be able to say it more often without hesitation. If he ends up saying he loves you he may feel hurt if you don't say it back.

If you are old enough to enter an adult relationship, you are old enough to know if you want to say baby or not.  If you do not want to say this, don't.

Pet names are not always acceptable to everyone.  He does not mind calling you baby, but if this makes you uncomfortable, tell him.  Be honest about your feelings.  You do not need to have a reason because feelings are not logical.  They still need to be expressed, so hold this back will only cause more problems later.

When you can talk with him about things other than small talk.  Learn how he expresses himself and who he is.  He should get to know you as well.

Keep in mind that some guys use the same pet names in all of their relationships so they never have to keep the name of their current girlfriend in mind (It's always Baby).

Your pet names for each other should come from mutual experiences and have some special meaning.  This is how relationships grow stronger with time.
