I Need Help(Skimboarding)?

i'm just starting to skimboard and need some advice. What type of board would be good for me? I'm 14 years old, weigh around 115 lbs, and am 5'4". What type of base coat and second layer of wax should i use for skimboarding in virginia? Any other tips on how to skimboard would be nice too.

The best thing you can do is go to your local surfshop and ask them. They will be able to help you. Your skimboard should come up to about your sternum. If you are just starting out skimboarding, get a really cheap board to start off on. If you want to continue with it, then you should buy a better board. And I prefer to use StickyBumps for wax. SexWax is kinda annoying.
