  1. The first question is how old are you?  Frankly, you are setting yourself up to get so much more out of life by skipping the dating chaos.  There is plenty of time ahead of you for falling in and out of love and learning how to deal with boy/girl relationships.  In the meantime, you have the advantage over your friends by living a more uncomplicated life and learning how to be friends with people (without the romantic complications) and studying.  And to have a horse!!  That sounds wonderful.

Don't hurry it - you have a long life ahead to experience everything.

  2. Do none of your girl friends have brothers they could introduce you to?

Do none of those brothers have friends of their own they could introduce you to?

Do none of your parents' friends have sons they could introduce you to?

Do none of your mates' boyfriends have friends they could introduce you to?

Also, I don't know what it is like wherever you live but up here (given that you have your own horse) the rodeos, gymkhana, horse sales, stock sales etc are all sure-fire places to meet heaps of boys!

  3. I was home schooled from Kindergarten until graduation when I was 16. The only way to make friends or boyfriends would be to involve yourself in extra curricular activities such as drama. The more you do the more people you will meet. Being home schooled does not make you friendless, boyfriend-less, or unsocialized. That's just and excuse, for the same labels could be applied to a good number of public educated people.

  4. Just find out what extracurricular things are available in your area (sports, theater, clubs, etc.) and get involved in them.  Don't go out *just* to meet a guy - you'll come across as desperate - but if you're involved in things that you enjoy, you'll be more likely to meet guys that are easy for you to get along with.

Don't rush it though - I met my husband in college.  Most of the guys I met in high school were simply good friends, and some of them I honestly wish I hadn't met.  Don't deprive yourself of great friendships with guys, simply because they aren't who you'd like to date :)

    Good luck!

  5. Join a drama group...those are well mixed....

  6. i am 14, and am hoping to go into home schooling (my mum is totally up for it). i am not bothered, and neither should you be. there is someone out there for you and it is fate for you to meet somewhere, somehow! but if you're really bothered by it why not join mixed gender groups such as drama, martial arts, swimming, running, hockey, football, rugby, anything! if you are a new homeschooler, meet up with one of your old school friends, ask him/her to bring friends and go to the local park and meet people!

    hope this helps

  7. churches have social activities, check out teen programs at your community park, go to the roller rink, invite you girlfriends to go with you, their boyfriends have friends that you can meet....

  8. Well, I'm a guy. And homeschooled.

And I've pretty much faced the fact until I'm 18, I won't be dating since I'm homeschooled.

But my cousin is a girl, and was homeschooled, and she had more boyfriends than most people in their whole lives, lol....

Come on! You're a girl! It's easier, all you have to do is put yourself out there a little, and be a little outgoing and the guys do the rest, lol....

    =)

  9. You're too young to be worried about that. It will happen in it's own time. You aren't missing anything at this age, just drama and disasters.
