Question:

I Need Some Serious Advice....?

I'll be starting college here in a few weeks and I'm nervous as can be. I'll be going to an in-state school my first semester to get my cores out of the way and then I'm transferring to Cape Fear Community to get my Associates in Marine Technology. From there, I'm going to transfer to East Carolina University and work for my PhD in Maritime Anthropolgy.

The problem?

I'M FLIPPING OUT!!

I'll probably stay at home my first year and commute. But...I don't know what to expect for college. I don't do drugs and I don't drink...and nothing's changing that. Parties? Forget it. If I can squeeze the time in, maybe.

I'm nervous...easy enough to say.

What should I do to help ease the anxiety?

Any advice? I know there are college students out there! Help out a soon-to-be-Freshman, would you?

  1. ask friends of yours that are already in college

  2. Calm down, it's not as scary as it seems. Just be yourself and make sure you do your work. Commuting to school won't be as scary since you're still at home. Just breath. You don't need medicine or psychiatric help. You just need to go with the flow.

  3. I am not trying to be rude I think this might help. Maybe you should take some anxiety medicine. I do and it works.

    good luck
