I Need To Write A Persuasive Speech? Do You Have A Topic Idea? Please Help!?

I need to find a topic for my speech coming up in a week or two. It could be funny?

Well, it all depends on what you are interested in.  Speech class was my favorite high school experience.  I did a persuasive speech on the nature of truth because I am into philosophy/theology.  Earlier on, I persuaded people that MP3 players were an overall better thing to buy than Ipods because I am into good prices.  I also did one in English on censorship in the media.  

You could go the political route, and talk about why we should pull our troops out of iraq or vice versa.  You could go for entertainment/art and persuade people that iron man was not properly represented in his movie according to the original comic.  Also, you could get a bit more controversial, and talk about why dogs are better than cats, or why coke is dominant to pepsi.  It all depends on what moves you.

Pros and cons of a woman wanting to be a man,  then pretending to be a man giving birth.  What kind of life will that child have to explain to his/her friends when he/she says "Oh my Daddy gave birth to me so I am now in the Genius Book of World Records because my mother only wants to be my father,"  You can make that as funny as you want.

I wrote one that was against circuses that use animals. I researched the treatment of the animals in the circus and the mental and physical effects of the tricks they are forced to do and included a bunch of gruesome examples. I got a lot of compliments on it throughout the day because the truth is so disgusting. It was really interesting to research, too.
