  1. you should not be feeding your budgie seeds. Please get some good information about a better diet. The seeds are actually starving him to death from lack of nutrition...

  2. For protein, you should feed your Budgie well-cooked chicken. If you don't have any of that, give him a tiny bit of hard cheese. If it's processed, don't feed it to him.

There are toxins to birds, which include apple seeds, peach seeds, chocolate, and household plants.

You can also boil an egg for around 15 minutes, and let it cool and then cut it up.

I really hope your Budgie turns out to be okay. And I hope these suggestions help.

    Good luck.

  3. What your feeding him like with the cheese and all that- your not suppose to let them have it budgie cannot digest lactose.

Try feeding it some bread, oatmeal cooked chicken, soome fruits and some vegtables.

  4. Bread, cheese, hard boiled eggs, cooked macaroni, lettuce, spinach, rice, corn, grapes, strawberries, bananas,

  5. For now you're going to have to feed him any healthy food that he will EAT.  He shouldn't go all day and all night without food.  (Please keep some extra seed in the freezer in the future.)

Here are a couple of ideas for tonight:

Scramble an egg and let it cool to room temperature.

Cook some plain pasta, whole wheat if you have it.

    Whole grain or multi-grain cereal.

    Whole grain or multi-grain bread.

    Cooked rice.

    Cooked beans (no sauce).

    Bran muffin (no butter).

If you absolutely have to, go to the grocery store and buy some seed there.  It won't be worth much nutritionally but it'll keep the little guy from going hungry.

If you know anyone else with a bird, borrow some seed.  You REALLY need to get him fed tonight.

  6. he can eat little peices of bread, lettuce(lettuce is really good), grapes

  7. I used to have budgies and they alway liked plain toast, celery tops and broccoli tops as a treat

  8. My birds love rice.  Cook a little as you normally would and let it cool off. Hand-feed it to your bird.  He'll love you for it.

It's not going to seriously harm him to wait til you cook it.  In the wild birds can deal with shortages, too.

Save some of the rice to feed him later or until you get regular food.

BTW, they love cooked spaghetti noodles or macaroni, too.  It's even easier to fix:

    1. bring small pan of water to a boil

    2. throw in a small amount of spaghetti or noodles and cook 10 min.

    3. drain water from the pan and let the pasta cool, then feed.

  9. don't worry.he will be fine.you can give him bread. i feed my budgies almost everything that i eat and think will be good for them. you can give them crackers and cheese too. you can also give him some leafy vegetables. like lettuce or brokoly.

    they love lettuce.

so t]i think he will be fine.

  10. You can feed your Budgie well cooked chicken for protein

once in awhile and can feed a tiny bite of hard cheese like Cheddar ( no processed cheese though) once in awhile.

Boil an egg for 15 Min's., cool and cut up small for protein

and if you leave the shell on the egg too he/she will get needed calcium also. Twice weekly is enough.

A healthy avian diet includes a variety of foods.

A good, fresh seed mix. Organic pellets. Fresh foods like vegetables and some fruits daily with fresh, cool water always available to the bird.

Toxic to birds are: Apple seeds, peach pit's, avocado, caffeine, chocolate, fumes from house hold cleaning products and Teflon coated cooking pans, scented candles, some plants and some tree wood used for perch's.

Smoke from cigarettes, cigars, fire places are to be avoided around birds.

** Expect it to take some time for any bird to eat fresh foods if they haven't before, but it worth your time to hang in there.

Fresh veggies contain live food that is vitamins in it's purest form.

Always wash fresh foods under running water before feeding.
