  1. I'm sure someone will tell you to multiply 4.0 by 0.908, but that doesn't work.  50 out of 100 would give you 50/100 * 4.0 = 2.0 which means a C average - but 50 is definitely failing. You can't directly convert an overall percentage to a GPA on a 4.0 scale.

    Take each class, convert the number grade to a letter grade based on your school's system, change the number grade to the 4.0 system (A = A+ = 4.0, A- = 3.7, B+ = 3.3, B = 3.0, B- = 2.7, C+ = 2.3, C = 2.0, C- = 1.7, D+ = 1.3, D = 1.0, F= 0.0), multiply it by the number of credits the class was worth (1 if you don't know), add them all up, and divide by the total number of credits. That's your offical GPA.
