I Need to get to the Funeral!!!?

I'm trying to get a one way flight to Miami or Fort Lauderdale between now and friday but I can't find anything affordable!!! It's kind of urgent. Does anyone know any secrets to getting a cheap flight extremely last minute???

  2. Contact the various airlines and ask if they have a "compassion fare" or a "bereavement fare."  If the deceased is a close relative you might be able to get one of those fares. If you know anyone who has a frequent flier account you can ask them if they have enough miles for you to use.

  4. Many airlines give a discount for family emergencies like this, ask them.  You will have to produce proof though.
