Does that mean that every time I want to add music I have to do it at work? Can I not add music from a CD at home? Help needed! Thanks

  1. The first sync on each computer will be slows as it adds everything but from then on it will be quick as it ony adds the changes.

You CAN add CD's at home either direct from CD's importing them into itunes or by ordering from itunes store but that really neds a broadband connection.

if you sync it with your home computer  then your work computer it  will erase everything each time.

The iPOD is a slave device to the computer/itunes which is the aster music organiser/player and file store. each itunes can have many ipods connected (paired) to it but each ipod can only be paired to one computer at a time.

It should be the same speed no matter what you do as the sync uses USB connection (unless your home computer has USB1 and the work machine usb2 connectors) the easiest way is to upgrade your USB to USB2 (new card)

  2. You need to install Itunes on the computer you have your music on.  Ipods are designed to run with one music library - ie synchronised to 1 computer.  This is Apples way of reducing p****y - or at least making it difficult to share music.

If you've downloaded the itunes file at work you should copy this to a cd/usb stick and install it on your home pc. If you don't have a usb stick you can copy the file to your ipod

  3. it shouldn't be slow when i sync my ipod it take less that a min to upload about 30 songs

    hmm

i say you should call tech support to see if they know whats going on with it

    sorryy..
