I Recently purchased a 15 foot boat shell. I know I need an outboard motor but what else do I need?

The boat has nothing not even seats and I have never owned a boat before. I need to know what I need to make this boat water ready and legal. Please help me.

maybe bolt some type of benches in it.  otherwise all you really need is the outboard for functionality.

Boats are money-pits as it is..  If you try to build one up from a shell, I _promise_ you that you'll wind up putting more money into it than it would have cost to buy one that was water-ready.  

Sell it, save your pennies, and get something that's ready to go.

Yeah...get the Coast Guard Boating requirements...like life Jackets...flares...fire extinguisher, etc.

Buy some seats on ebay...

all that jazz...you'll figure it out.

Go on line and see what the Coast Guard recommends having on any boat.  I would think life jackets would be #1.  Emergency flares.  Radio.  Extra water.  Blankets.
