  1. Would have to say open it up,, or send it to me I have a store ill send you a new one, for your sticky one.

  2. Take a q-tip that has white vinegar on it (not dripping wet, but enough) and gently wipe it all off. A q-tip should be small enough to get where you need to. Hope this helps.

  3. Have disinfecting wipes or hand sanitizing wipes around. You don’t have to clean your controllers every day, but every once in a while give them a little scrub.

You can clean the crease on the side of your controller with a small screwdriver or anything else that can get in there. You’ll be surprised how much junk will come out.

For PS2 and Xbox owners, I would suggest using GlovesPlay Controller Covers, but they are very hard to find now. You can still get them for PS2 at Wal-Mart.com or eBay, but the Xbox version seems completely out of stock. The company that made them, TruGamerz, also seems to be out of business as their website hasn’t been updated since September 2005. The GlovesPlay covers can absorb sweat and dirt and can be washed in a washing machine. If you can find them, get them.

You could also ask your friends to wash their grubby mitts before they play with your controllers, but that would be rude.

  4. Clean what you can see with a napkin lightly that has clorox or something on it.  If it is still sticky you won't be able to fix it without harming the inside of the controller.

  5. I had this problem a few times. I got brave and decided to open the controllers (with a screwdriver), and I used qtips, lightly dipped in rubbing alcohol, and I worked my way around all the buttons and crevices. I wouldn't recommend you do this though, unless you have a LOT of patience. Also, unless you really pay attention to what your doing, you can essentially "kill" your controller. So I dont recommend that, unless thats something you wanna try.

If not, then I recommend cleaning it with alc. swabs. everyday. Soon, the alc. will more than likely break up the sticky-ness, at least enough to be playable. Otherwise, you may need to buy a new controller.
