Hello, last year I scratched my Corina in the locker room at hockey. I'm still only 14 but when I turn 19 or 20 I want to get Lasik. Will that mess up the surgery? And i know its bad but sometimes i go like 5 days without taking my contacts out. lol. It doesn't really hurt so I don't care. Will that mess it up? I'll stop even if it doesn't. =P

  1. You need to start taking your contacts out. My husband slept with his in and when he went to the optometrist to get some glasses, the doctor said that his cornea was scratched and damaged really bad. The doctor gave him some contact lenses that let his eyes breathe and heal. My husband said that his eye sight improved some.

So it might improve your chances when you get the surgery done, if you break this bad habit.

  2. Actually, your corina is in your lungs...well actually it is where your trachea (windpipe) splits to go to each lung. i think you mean cornea. From what i heard, your eyes change shape subtly untill you're middle aged and that you shouldn't get the surgery until than. honestly, i wouldn't worry about it for awhile, there are many serious side effects associated with this procedure and at your age its just not worth it
