I Shouldn't Have To Do This...Right?!?

My whole family (consisting of 4) uses the same bathroom. It's my job to have this bathroom sanatized and kept clean during the week. I don't have a problem with this chore until...My dad decides to shave his beard/mustache and leaves his hair in the sink and/or takes a bath/shower and leaves his underpants(tidywhities) on the bathroom floor. I find cleaning up after this kind of mess a little out of my job description...I mean, he should be able to clean up after himself in this way...right? Just wanted to know if you guys thought I'm in the right/wrong or not.

That's ridiculous. I wouldn't even touch them and then when some one asks you why you didn't clean them just tell them how ridiculous that is. He is obviously not responsible or at all respectful for the house or you.

That is wrong. Parents are suppose to set an example for their kids all their lives. He is an adult and should know to clean up after himself. When I lived at home my job was to keep the house clean, since before I was 16 I didn't work and my mom worked full time but she still did her own laundry, and picked up after herself in general. Even when I visit I clean to keep myself occupied when I'm bored but I don't cleaning up my parents clothing and I yell at my dad when he leaves the sink full of hair.

Gross. No one wants to touch their dads underwear. i say you're right, but i doubt there's much you can do about it.

tell your father to put his jocks in the dirty clothes bin and that you are not his slave.

what i did? i just left my fathers there. he worked it out after a while, and started doing it himself.

Your dad is the one who should clean up after himself. I would tell them that you are going on strike until he does, then do it
