Okay i am in Competition Jazz that means I go to dance 5 days a week! anyways i was doing a turn and i fell and sprain my ankle but i have a competition in 2 days so what do i do?

  1. RICE-

    REST ICE COMPRESSION ELEVATE

    stay off of your foot/ankle up until competition day. use crutches! then, the morning of competition, stretch and work out your ankle (twisting it, lightly applying pressure, ect.) take two advil about an hour before you hit the dancefloor, and just take the pain as you compete--it'll be worth it!


  2. Remember R.I.C.E:

    Rest-Don't use it or it'll take longer to heal

    Ice-It eases the pain

    Compression-tie a towel around your ankle tight but not too tight

    Elevation-lie down and keep it on a pillow, it'll make the swelling go down

    If it doesn't get better then you'll have to sit out of the compitition, sorry!
