  1. i did the same thing. go get it checked out by a doctor he/she can teach you how to tape it the best way for you. he/she can also give you a brace to kelp recover it sooner. they can also give you exercises to strengthening it.

in the mean time dont stop.

i will send you some taping guides

ok it wont let me email you so email me at cwow666@yahoo.com and i will send those to you

    hope that helps

  2. If its discolored or you think something is broken, have it checked out, otherwise, sprained thumbs are just part of volleyball, and learning how to tape your thumb can really help.  I think the website below has a good explination of how to tape a thumb.  I personally don't do the longitudinal stirrups because these dont prevent the thumb from bending away from the rest of the fingers, which is probably why your thumb is sprained in the first place...  http://www.nismat.org/traincor/spica.htm...

Talk to your coach, but I was taught when blocking, your thumbs need to be pointing toward the ceiling.  It may take an inch or two off of your vertical reach, but you will be taking more horizontal space from the hitter, and you aren't exposing your thumbs to the ball as much...

  3. forget the tape, you should get it checked out by a doctor. i wouldn't continue to play until you get it checked out. my friend sprained her finger and kept playing. now she can barely bend it and she has to go to the doctor to see if she might of done more damage to it

  4. Put the microphone right next to it and press the record button.
