  1. Give the old geezer a break, will ya?

Maverick McCain is going down partying.

He needs a juicy young thing to cling to while his ship is sinking in his twilight years.

  2. She can get McCain more votes because he's not good enough to do it himself. Even though choosing her for vp is probably one of the worst things McCain could do for america.

  3. Wish I could, I'm with you, I think it was poor judgment on McCain's part.

  4. Enter a beauty pageant?

Manage to get even more people she happens to not like fired in suspicious circumstances?  (so much for that integrity)

Tell women what they should do with their reproductive organs?

Agree with John McCain in not caring whether women receive equal pay for equal work?

Continue the economic policies which are failing as we speak?

Continue on the path of placating rich oil interests over the nation's interests?

  5. she is hot, other than that it was an awful move, he should have picked lieberman or romney, and now he is going to have difficulties attacking obama about him being inexperienced.

  6. She up-rooted her own party in Alaska and reformed Alaska's government to a large extent.

In a 1.5 years she managed to work out a deal of equal benefit to Alaskans and the US the largest natural gas pipeline ever built.

She is a huge supporter and taking steps so Alaska is part of the solution toward America's energy Independence.  She is for the responsible use of tidal, wind, oil and gas reserves Alaska has.

A wide range of experience in her private and professional life.

www.cnbc.com has a special segment on Sarah Palin you will find enlightening.

  7. She will fight to expose corruption in all government parties.

  8. First is the appeal she has by being an outsider.  Obama has run a campaign based on change, no more old style politics.  We don't want a Washington insider.  Then he picks a guy who's been in the Senate even longer than McCain.  But if you look at Palin, she's an outsider.  She's what Obama talked about but just with different political beliefs. It kind of makes Obama look like he doesn't mean what he says.

Then on the policitical side.  Palin is known for reform.  She stood up to big oil and fought against corruption.  Those two are really big.  Also, she has an independent streak.  She didn't just stand up to Democrats, she stood up to her own party when they were wrong.

She also has executive experience, which is different from the legislative experience that the other three have.  It's not necessarily more experience but it is different.

I really think that, if people research her instead of just listening to the campaigns, then many people will really like the choice.

  9. Ummmm...weeelll....she looks great in photo ops, and...ummm, well, I guess that's it.

  10. She can replace d**k Cheney.

She can advise the president on military affairs.

She can help him fight freedom of choice.

She can help him legalize carrying a concealed weapon.

She can cook the moose burgers at State affairs.

  11. Uh, she's a soccer mom. DUH!

  12. You don't see it? R U blind? dude, she's a MILF! She is HOT. She is easy on the eyes

  13. Only Mccain can see .To me it shows he is desperate.

Probably he thinks that Hillary supporters are stupid enough and angry enough  that they will vote for another women but i think he is wrong.

  14. You are aware of where Alaska is situated, right?  You are aware that it borders no other state of the USA, but does border Canada, right?  You are also aware that Russia lies four miles west of some parts of Alaska by crossing the Bering straight, right?

OK.  Now then, any governor of Alaska has, on a routine basis, had negotiations with the governments of those other two countries.  She has done something the top of the Democrat ticket hasn't yet.

You may not want the word experience used, but it is a valid answer.

  15. There is no benefit to her.  McCain could have gotten as much experience as a VP if he chose Screech from Saved by the Bell:

  16. Yahoo has an article on it now.  In it, she is basically coined as the desperate motions of a dying McCain campaign.  The article points out that the race isn't as close as the national poll suggest, McCain either trailing or in a dead heat in too many states that matter in term of the electoral college, and traditional republican strongholds are actually contested this year, with a good chance of the republicans losing many of them.

This is an attempt to stimulate his base, and attract grieved Hillary supporters.  However, the flip side to that is that it repels hillary supporters because of her stance on the issues, and might stimulate the republicans base, but also isolates it because she is so right wing.  She is also under state investigation on charges of using gubernatorial powers to force the Alaskan State Police to fire her ex brother in law.

  17. She is well known for sticking to her beliefs whether she is fighting dems or reps. She is NOT a Washington insider. Which would be an excellent CHANGE. She is also well known for being an honest person. Have we  had one of those in or near the White House in the last 100 years? Her approval rating in Alaska in 80%. She also knows issues regarding energy inside and out. This was an excellent choice for McCain.

PS: I don't mean to be preachy but there are children on this site, if you feel the need to use that phrase, at least use BS instead of spewing the profanity for all to see.

  18. She's young, attractive and a woman, and look what's happened, she has already stolen the limelight from the razzle dazzle pretty boy Obama.

We have turned this election into a celebrity contest, so she may be the answer to Obama.

  19. What do you mean she's freakin hot. We needed a figure head and we got someone with a nice figure. case closed.

  20. Look at her record if you want to and if you don't that's fine too.

  21. She helps take away the focus of the 'elite' stigma that surrounds the Republican party. She brings that 'down home, girl next door, working mom', aspect to the ticket. Yes there are others that are more qualified, including other republican WOMEN. However, they would continue to bring attention to the fact that the Republican party is an exclusive club for the wealthy, and elite.

  22. She might keep Obama out of the White House, that would be a great benefit.

  23. I think McCain is trying to get all the Hillary supporters on his side with having a woman as VP.

    Haha, nice try, McCain.

The only female he could get on his side is the governor of... Alaska?! Who named her children Trig, Track, and Willow.

    Hmm.

  24. pretty face

    miss alaska runner up

    5 kids

    jounalist

    all american mom.......

NOPE i cant see how she can help us

  25. She looks good in on my wall. In a swim suite that is.

  26. you dont see it because its not there

  27. Palin's induction is like a char boiled grill. The more slowly it is cooked it is better. So wait. She will take on the world. She has the determination and grit.
