Question:

I THINK I have a stye?

I've had several before - know what they feel like. But I can't see anything. Was gonna do the old gold ring trick (worked for me last time) but I can't find it.

Maybe it isn't a stye? But it feels like one.

What do you think?

  1. never heard of the old gold ring trick, but hold a warm wash cloth to the area, and hopefully that will help.

  2. Do you mind telling me what the

gold ring trick is. I've had a stye for the last

month and it won't go away. See, my stye got

infected in 2 different places in my eye, so it was bad.

    Always hurting, burning, and itching.

I got antibiotics and ointment and its still here.

But maybe it is, I don't know. This is only my second stye...

please help me with whatever you know!!!

  3. Sometimes even tiny specks of dirt can hang in there for a long time and really hurt. The first thing I would try, since you can't see anything, is washing your eye thoroughly with saline solution.

  4. "No" your "Unique' and yes "It's a start of style "Any" style determines the person. Rock On!

  5. It is probably a stye.  A stye is actually caused by a bacteria, an infection, and you may need antibiotics to treat it, but sometimes it will go away on its own.  Soften the stye by applying a hot, moist compress several times a day for at lease 10 minutes at a time.

Whenever you are treating a stye, be very careful and resist the urge to pop or squeeze it! Do not rub your eyes because you can easily spread the infection to your other eye - that is unless you want a matching sett.  If your stye does not go away within a week see your doctor about getting antibiotics.
