I Think I have eggs in my frog tank...?

I just looked in my tank and there are little gel sacs in the water dish. They are White's tree frogs. Does anybody have any info on what the egg sacs look like or how to care for tadpoles? Any info would be appreciated! This is my first pair of White's and I am still new at this.

  1. This is what frog eggs look like, gelatin masses.  Yours may not have the spots yet because they're not mature enough.

I have tadpoles as well and this site gives the general information on raising tadpoles.

I have my tadpoles in a 20 gallon long aquarium mostly taken over by water but has emerging plants and a slope to land for when the tadpoles start changing and need to come out of the water.  I feed them lettuce(not iceberg), algae pellets, plant matter and once a week some spirulina for a tad protein.  I have a tadpole changing now and it's amazing how fast they do it.  I would suggest you keep them in spring water, it's free of chemicals but still have the vital nutrients.  You can dechlorinate your water with dechlorinator but I don't like putting that stuff in their water, especially at such an important and developmental time in their lives.
