I WANT A GUINEA PIG!!!?

Question

Where is a list of breeders and rescues by state for guinea pigs. I can't seem to find much. Primarily Ky. (Lex. area) and Tn. (Knoxville area).

I will get one from a breeder or from a shelter but don't want one from a pet store!

for breeders u may find one that breed:

- american guineas ( the ones that are most comonly known for their short fur)

- abysinian ( the ones with the 'rosets' in the fur. it almost looks spiky!)

- peruvian ( the ones with long fur that goes over their face! u usuly cant tell which ends which!)

- silkie ( with long fur that doesnt go over their head)

- texel ( wit long fur like the silkie but is curly)

there are other breeds but theese ones are the most comonly bred.

i'll help you out.  i don't really know the breeds but get a short haired one.  and i know that pet's stores aren't the best but it's not the guinea pigs fault he was born in that type of environment.
