I WANT A LAPTOP! ? CAN ANYONE HELP?!?

can someone tell me a cheap laptop that is good and an overall good computer to have. I know that Lenovo is a great computer but is there anything out there that can be cheaper and even better?

You know you can get a computer for next to nothing?

Neither do I.

$500 will buy you a decent machine.  You could spend less, but for a machine that won't be optimized for MS Vista or any contemporary programs.  For today, you'll need a machine with a Core2Duo CPU running at at least 2GHz, 2GB of RAM, 120GB HD running at 5400 RPM and integrated graphics.  Integrated graphics laptops are weaker for gaming than LT's w/dedicated cards, byt they are also lighter, smaller, run longer on a charge, generate less heat and are cheaper.  LT's w/cards are mainly used by gamers and come w/a host of reliability and repair issues.  You probably can live w/IG.

Macbook - for $500?  Not blooody likely.

You can get a refurb (must get from the manufacturer) for less, but even then tehy'll cost about $500.

Lenovo isn't a computer - it's a company that sells computers, with models varying in value and usability.

which Lenovo laptop are you thinking about purchasing?

if you want something that "performs better" then it will generally be more expensive.
