  3. be patient it takes time to grow, or u could get extensions

  4. First off what are your current hair practices? What products do you use? You need to develop a hair regimen that will keep your hair healthy and prevent damage.

African hair needs moisture and deep conditioning is key. You should wash and deep condition your hair every 4-14 days. You shampoo your scalp and roots and condition you hair and ends. (especially your ends!) Do not shampoo the length of your hair this could cause dryness and strip the hair. Make sure to use a leave-in and then seal with a serum after washing. Avoid hot combs, flat irons, curling irons, and blowdryers at all costs. Try doing a rollerwrap and just blowing your roots out or you can reduce heat by airdrying and flatiorning insteand of blowdrying and flatiorning. (use a heat protectant)

Moisturize your hair every 2-3 days between washes focusing on your ends. You can use oil or serum to seal if you like. If you have really dry hair you can moisturize 1-2 times a day. I use a leave-in as a moisturizer.

Try to wear your hair in a bun at least 4-5 days out of the week because it protects your ends for the air and rubbing against your shirt which can cause split ends and breakage. Once you reach your goal you can wear it out more.

Comb your hair no more than once a day with a wide tooth comb form the ends up in 4 or more sections. Protect your hair at night with a satin scarf and/or bonnet.

The key to growing long hair is to keep you hair healthy if your hair is consently breaking you will see no change in length even though your hair is growing steadily.

Hair grows about 6 inches a year. You can try taking a hair supplement, and make sure to drink lots of water, and eat lots of protien and veggies. Exersise is also good cause it gets your blood flowing and stimulates growth. Visit this site for more info and tips:

    -1/2 cup coconut oil conditioner

    -1/4 cup apple cider

-2-3 drops of lavender essential oil

-1-2 drops of rosemary essential oil

    -half of ripe avacodo

    -teaspoon ground ginger

    -teaspoon ground cloves

    -5 tablespoons of conditioner

Now mix it all together, make sure it is silky. (no chunks)

Remeber eat healthy!! Eat you leafy greens, milk, and more than 8 glasses of water a day. Good luck! :D
