Question:

I WANT TO ASK MY COUNTRY'S PRESIDENT: WHERE WAS AMERICA WHEN RUSSIA INVADED GEORGIA???

This is the question I have for the president of my country, the United States of America: Mr. Bush, where were the US when Russia invaded Georgia, our strategic ally in the Caucasis?

Our country has pledged military support for Taiwan if China decides to use military force against it. Don't you think it is highly hypocritical? I mean, we do not even recognize Taiwan as a sovereign country, no, we say it's a part of China! And Georgia IS a sovereign country and its importance to us is at least equal, if not higher, than Taiwan. Were you afraid of confrontation with Russia? I guess, you were. But aren't you afraid of confrontation with China over Taiwan? China, mind you, has nukes, too, and its economic and military potential exceeds that of Russia.

What will our allies think of us from now on? Perhaps that strong words shake the air but not the enemy.

  1. America does not have the troops, It has an extremely small standing army for a country its size, and half of them are AWOL or deserters at any given time, The US needs to have a standing force of about 2 million instead of the 200,000 or so that it has, It really is useless at addressing problems like Georgia has thrown up it really is cowardly so are the Europeans they are bogged down with g*y issues and political correctness. So if Russia and China wanted to over run the world right now they probably could, The Europeans would then probably be busy checking their PC and rules for engagement and what the rules for women in the military would be,  as they were over run, We are led by idiots look at brown in England for example,Look at bush he was a draft dodger himself what does he know about fighting. On the other hand Russia is well lead, Good Generals too.Good troops. Not cowards

  2. You don't get it do you.

    American was in Georgia.

USA was the stick whacking the donkey (Georgia) to start the whole thing.

Take a look at most of the headlines on the URLs below.

  3. http://www.kp.ru/daily/24144/362078/

  4. First of all never believe g bush... he lies all the time.

Next, if China invaded Taiwan, the results would be the same as Russia invading Georgia... we would do NOTHING!! We can't do anything about it. The Taiwanaese know this so, unlike the Gerogians they would not go out and  pick a military fight with China. Only a really stupid president would do that! So Georgia is kind of like the U.S. that way and they will pay the price you pay for following and electing really stupid leaders.

  5. Bush is in Beijing watching the Olympics. It's funny how he rebuked Congress for taking time off instead of dealing with the "offshore drilling" issue but when all h**l breaks loose you can't pry him away from women's basketball.

  6. They were watching the Olympics.

They aren't going to care until it finishes.

  7. We were at the Mall.

  8. Same as always - east of Greenland.

And America IS addressing the military situation - altough not with military force of its own, yet.

  9. sometimes a guy just has to wonder...

  10. Sorry we are bogged down in Iraq, a country that posed no threat. We can't handle any real problems right now, check back later.

  11. There are no formal treaties or relations with Georgia. They are not part of NATO. If they were Russia would not have done what they did.

Bush is doing the right thing by condeming Russian actions but not involving our military. We've given the French the lead on the negotiations so it doesn't look like the Russians are bowing down to us.

  12. I can understand where you are emotionally coming from. However, if you step back and think, what do you think we really can do? Send in the military? Have you not read about the issues we currently have with the amount of forces we have available? And if we did, how soon could we complete a troop movement of any significant size? How do you feel about the draft? Are you willing to be drafted and go to Georgia to fight? I'm not trying to be hard on you but you have to think logically. The European Union needs to step up as well as the UN. I always find it interesting (?) that so many people are always ready to criticize the US for stepping in to everyone else' business, but when something major happens, the first we hear is Where is the US. Unfortunately this conflict is either going to end as a result of diplomacy or Russia is going to take control. Our European friends, who always find ways to tell us how bad we are, haven't got the back bone to do anything on their own.
