THEY WILL NOT FIX IT SO IF I PUNCH IN AT 8 IT SAYS 7:46 WHICH THEY WILL NOT HONOR AND IF I PUNCH OUT AT 6:30 IT WILL SAY 6:10 AND THEY WILL NOT MAKE ADJUSTMENTS IS THIS LEGAL ( THIS IS THE STATE OF NJ )

  1. Their clock is 15-20 minutes slow.  Just adjust your schedule accordingly.  It's nothing to get upset about.

  2. The above posters didn't understand the situation.  Your employer is ripping you off for 15 mins of work you provide each day.

This is not legal.  They need to pay you for the hours you work.

Ask your manager to take up this battle with whomever is in charge of getting the clock fix.  Your manager should also take this issue up with payroll.  Managers are there to act as a liaison between their employees and the upper management.  A good manager wants his employees to be paid proper;y, otherwise they will lose the good employees.

    1) Talk to your manager and ask him or her to get the problem fixed. If that doesn't work.

    2) Report them to the DOL.  (Links below.)

  3. The elapsed time clocked in would still be correct, so it's not illegal to show the wrong time but pretty dumb that they haven't reset it.  But if they are not paying you for all of your hours worked, then yes that's illegal.

  4. It's legal.  It's not really a big deal to adjust to their clock.  Just clock in and out according to whatever their clock says and don't be so concerned as to whether it agrees with your clock.  If you clock in when your employer's clock say 8:00A and clock out when the employer's clock says 6:30P, then you will be paid for all of your worked time.  Choose your battles - this one isn't worth getting upset about.
