In business, rather it's home based or not, if they promise it will make you money then they're lying.  Any business that you venture in will require some work on your part to build your business up.  You start out making no money and it's only up to you and what you do, your marketing structure etc to build a profitable business.  Businesses give you the opportunity to make what you want to make, but you have to do what it takes to make that.  You can't go into it looking at it as a job and expect to make money two weeks later.  You can, but understand that you may not.

I know a lot of people who have home based businesses that make an incredible amount of money.  However, they took the time to build it up. I know people who went into home based businesses, but failed and made no money.  This is because they didn't take the time to build it.  They went into it expecting to make a lot of money and not put any effort into it.  Businesses do not work that way at all.  They take hard work, dedications and time and effort to build.  If your not willing to do that, then you shouldn't go into business, because you will fail if you don't.

Businesses are not programs.  Programs are schools.  A business is a business that you work at.  Some businesses have "trainings" where you can learn the industry your involved in, and ways to show you how to build your business and help you.  But that is not a program.  It's a training tool that you can utilize to build your business.
