my dear in your question you do not mention from where you are living or from where you start.  i take the option as you start from thiruvanthpuram and go back to thiruvanthpuram.

the route will be as follows

thiruvanthpuram to madurai

madurai  to kodikannal

kodikannal  to coimbatore (via palani)

coimbatore to ooty

ooty  to coimbatore

coimbatore  to trivendrum
