  1. it is normal to be apprehensive at 15, you have 3 years to go before you make a bigger decision.

talk to your recruiter and to people you know who are in the military.

  2. u'll be fine, knowing that there are retarded marines u should be able to make it

  3. hey!

my husband is a marine and hes 20. its a hard thing decide but you have to ask your self why you want to join and look into other branches as well. I know my husband regrets joining but once you sign that paper your butt is theirs for the next 8 years. 4 active duty and 4unactive but they can call on you whenever and send you to fight.

its a branch that gains respect but its hard and its like a paternity at times and there is alot of hazing and the higher ups will treat you bad and give you the hardest time ever.

but remember that all branches get the same pay and benefits.

and dont believe their lies and make sure you read what you sign and if they promise you anything you make sure that you have it in writing.

    and they sign it.

  4. Hey! So my boyfriend is a Marine recruiter and I have a lot of friends who are in the Marines and in the other branches. Right now you're still a little to young to talk to a recruiter (they aren't suppose to talk to you til your 17). Buttt.... When you do turn 17 then shop around! Go talk to a Marine recruiter and take the ASVAB with them so you have an idea of what you'll qualify for. Then take your ASVAB scores to recruiters in all the other branches (Army, Navy, Air Force & Coast Guard) and see what they can offer you (job wise... not money wise).

Its totally natural to be scared about joining... I have yet to meet a single Marine poolee who wasn't at least a little apprehensive about going to boot camp. While I know a few who ended up not being happy with their decision to serve the majority of the guys I know are happy and proud to be US Marines. But that's true of all the branches... I know people in every branch who aren't happy with their decision to serve and I know people in every branch who couldn't imagine not having joined the military.

You still have a few more years so see how you feel when you turn 17. If you still want to join then go sit down with a recruiter and start the process.

    Good luck!

  5. lol i agree with cody

and bethany stop bragging about how your boyfriend is a marine recruiter...if he is not in the infantry it just makes him a p*ssy
