You should get to know her first before you jump in otherwise she'll be a bit suprised ect. Just start a casual convasation, give her some compliments but dont go up to her and say "hey your hot" lol. say i like your shirt or something. But if she doesn't want to date you because of the popularity thing then she isnt worth your time!
