I Want To Join Volleyball. Should I Join?

Question

I'm almost in middle school. School starts on the 26th, and I was thinking about going to volleyball tryouts the day before that. The only experience I've had was in PE and I wasn't very good at it. I have no idea what to expect. Also I'm really freaked that I won't make the team. Help please? Thanks if you do :)

i've been playing volleyball since i was 11 (now i'm 23) and i have no regrets about it. the only thing for you to know if it's good for you is try.. try it and i think you will love it.

and you can expect making lots of friends there and learn from them because this is a team sport. there will be many more people coming for the tryouts. just have fun and don't stress yourself by wanting to make the team on your first day. to do that you have to go through a proper training for beginners and such. but, no worries & good luck!

Im going into 8th grade, and I did volleyball in my 7th grade year, and some camps this summer. I also had the same feelings. I had never playied besides gym and I kind of sucked. The only reason I did it was because my friend was doing it. I ended up doing it and actually realizing i wasn't to bad, even thought I was kind of bad durning gym. Also when you play gym volleyball it is SO DIFFERENT to real volleyball. Now I find my self addicted to volleyball, and absolutelly in love with the sport. Unlikely huh? Just try it! Whats the worst that cud happen?

go for it, you'll never know until you try out, and even if you don't make it, you'll show the dedication to the coaches that you really want it... plus volleyball is WICKED FUNN! i'm a sofmore in high school, and i've only been playing for 2 years and i'm in love =].. i say go for it!
