Gouramis what are the most peaceful gouramis and how big of a tank would they need?????

dwarf gouramis are the most peaceful and come in bright blue, and blue with pink/orange flecked through them, they are so pretty and peaceful and catch the light really well. they are great with angels too. anything around 20 gallons or more would be fine for dwarfs if you have a good filter. they love eating plants so get lots!

all of the smaller varieities of gouramis are far more peaceful than the giant types

maybe you need an 8 foot long by 4 foor high tank, with lots and lots of south american cichlids, small gouramis and rainbow fish.....lots of colors and movement....and look into the 'zebra plecos' they are very cool

...dwarf cichlids and rams, plus south american cichlids are far less aggressive than the cichlids from Afica.

...the Afican cichlids are demon possessed and do not get along and play well with anything else, other than their own type

You can make a livebearer tank full of fancy guppies, mollies, platys,swordtails,etc...u can even put in some dwarf gourami provided the tank size is adequate

You can also set up a dwarf gourami tank as u said above...it'll look good with dwarf gouramis with many colours swimming around...

If you really want something interesting then put in some dwarf cichlids...put in 3 or 4....they are aggressive but are extremely colourful...even more colourful than dwarf gouramis...just remember to provide a rocky substrate as they will be busy checking it out...
