  1. I think you would have to buy a SCART to VGA cable then get a small adapter to convert the permanent cable you have on your monitor to female so you can connect the two cables.

To get audio you will need the red and white cables and connect them to an audio device, you could also use RCA cables.

  2. if you have a sky hd box you could just get a dvi to vga adapter with a dvi to hdmi lead.

there are external tv tuners with video inputs you can conect to a vga monitor but they cost in excess of £40.(maplin electronics)

if you just want a cheap converter box go on to ebay, you can find them for around £10 + delivery, some of them have inbuilt tuner for terrestrial, only thing is the cheap ones have to come from hong kong / china

keep an eye out for this item on ebay, its what you are looking for and you might get it cheap     250277653086

you will also need a scart to rca adapter and connect the audio out to an hi-fi.

be carefull about scart to vga cables they are not compatible with all monitor types ( monitor must support a horizontal scan rate of 15.625KHz) specially monitors only designed for computer use.

  3. Go to tigerdirect.com. Look under video capture categories and they have different adapters to choose from.
