I a hunter/jumper show!?

in a hunter/jumper show do the judges like you to smile or look serious!?

ive tried both but i cat tell!

it really depends uppon the judge. every one is different.

in my experiance in hunter/jumper i've found that they like it when u consontrate more on your riding than anything else.

dont get distracted by your facial expresion, coz in the end, all that matters is how well u ride

You want to look like you're having fun, so as long as you're having fun and trying to ride your best it doesn't really matter. However, i have noticed that most judges do not like a lot of make up on a competitor. So have fun, and stay away from smoky eyes and red lipstick in the show ring :) .

I agree. You should only be thinking about the course and I hope you do well! If I were the judge, I would be concentrating on you and how you are riding and not looking at your facial expression.

Some judges like smilers and some like serious people. If you are under 14 or 15, you should smile, or at least show a big smile when you complete the test. If you are a kid, they like to know that you are having fun.

But if you are 16 and older, I would say that it is best that you stay professional until you exit the course. When I was little, I found that if I smiled during the course, I would get a slightly larger score then those who did just as well and kept a streight face. Hope this helps!
