If you have Windows XP or Vista, you can do a System Restore to a time before the erasure. Note that any other work done since the restore point will be lost too.

Or if you really just deleted (as opposed to uninstalling), is it still in the Recyle Bin? If you emptied the bin and really want your file back, then you may have a utility program that recovers deleted files, such as Norton. Just remember that the more you use your computer, the greater the chance that the deleted file will become unrecoverable.

If you have a Mac, there should be similar applications, and someone else may give you specifics.
