  1. Oxy-clean for your clothes and oxy-clean for your furniture...make a paste for your furniture with water.

  2. Dawn dish detergent put directly on the clothes, DRY, then throw into the washer. Dawn is the greatest for breaking up grease. My guys use it when they are washing up after working on the cars. It works better than the pumice soap.

As to the furniture, you need to check the labeling to see how the manufacturer recommends cleaning. You may have to rent a steam cleaner. Or call a professional cleaning company and ask for advice.

  3. use mechanics hand cleaner leave it on after rubbing it in then put i washing machine.

  4. When Dawn fails ( I agree it's good stuff) I use Castrol Super Clean.  Purple jug, better then Greased Lightning which is also in a purple jug.  Get it at auto part or hardware stores.  Use gloves as its an alkali based cleaner.  The strength is between Formula 409 and oven cleaner.

FYI It also dissolves that sticky food grease on stoves, cabinets and fridges. Be careful as it can remove old paint and varnish if left on too long.
