I accidentally locked my phone, and i dont know the PUK code? wtf???

I was playing around on my Nokia flip-top phone and i was going through the security settings and its my mums old phone, so i dont know the security codes. i was trying to guess them then it LOCKED my phone!!!!!!!!! now it says PLEASE ENTER PUK CODE:

wtf is a puk code? i have no idea and im really upset. this happened to my friend and she got it unlocked somehow. HELP ME!!!!!!!!!
