I accidently hit my lcd screeen with the remote can this damage the tv,I no longer get a picture and no sound?

im no TV expert but depending on how hard you hit it can make me think :L just check that the impact didnt knowck something out of the back like a cable. other wise id get it checked out :)

check to see if the power is on

It is unlikely that any screen damage would affect the sound.  Something else happened--check all the connections to the set.   Maybe the remote is damaged--can you turn it on from the front panel?

this depends on your force. did you hit it gently or like youre trying to kill it?
