I accidently recorded over a family home video. can it be retrieved??

this video holds significant family value considering the members on the video have passed away, if anyone knows how i can retrieve this ur help will be hugely appreciated

  2. No, sorry it is not possible.

  3. No.  It's gone.  In future, if you are using VHS cassette tapes, and want to protect the material, knock out the write-protect squares.
