  1. Frankly my dear, i don't give a ....

Margaret Mitchell rocks.  read the sequel, Scarlett.

  2. I read it, and I loved it.  My junior year in high school I did a reasearch paper on it (I got an A) about something along the lines of how the strong will surivive and the weak fall.  I was thinking not only of the war and Reconstruction, but also of Ashley, Melanie, Scarlett and Rhett.

**I loved the burning of Atlanta scene.  Even though I had watched the movie before I ever read the book, I was on the edge of my seat with antcipation**

  3. Its considered a classic for a reason,

    it's amazing~

most of the people here are young teenage girls discussing possessive vampires,

so chances are they haven't read it,

and they really should to get a taste of classic story book romance,

and something we call a "Novel".

  4. Yeah, I loved it!  Gone With the Wind and Jane Eyre are my favorite books.  I also really like the movie.

  5. I read it.... It was very good! I love it! You know, you shouldn't be shocked that little people knew about that book because you know, people are now prone to computer games and only few are reading books...

  6. I loved it too! hated the movie though, too much missed out. the sequel is called scarlett by Alexandra Ripley, who was employed by the mitchell estate to write it. I've also just read "Rhett Butlers People - the other side to gone with the wind" by Donald McCaig, that was also a fantastic book, you should read them.

  7. the movie was good and much easier then the book but it was a long movie

  8. My favorite book (and movie)..if you haven't seen the movie, you must watch it. Then read and watch:

Scarlett: The Sequel to Gone With the Wind by Alexandra Ripley

Rhett Butler's People by Donald McCaig

  9. My wife did.

There is another book that someone else wrote that follows scarlet after GWTW .

and one that follows rhett butler before GWTW.

  10. it has been awhile since i have read it but i loved it. it was really good and transitioned well, some books like that you can get lost between shifts in the story but not in it. the movie was good too.
