I actually saw the ghost last night will it prolly come back and if it does wat should i do?

You will be scared because its not something that normally happens to you. If the ghost didn't try to harm you this time it will probably not try to harm you another time. However it will still be unnerving and may make sleeping difficult.

You can try what I have done (however these didn't work in my case):

Have the house blessed

Tell the ghost they need to go into the light

Tell the ghost it is dead and needs to leave you and your home

Ignore it

Try talking to it, recording or video taping it

Contact a local paranormal group for help (this is where I am currently)

If u are a Hindu chant Hanuman Chalisa. Write it on a paper and paste it on the wall near your bed.

Hanuman Chalisa is the best tool fighting ghosts.I mean Ghosts in India.I dont know about foreign ghost.They have language problem. But still I believe it might work. It should work.

Another thing ghosts are very weak souls. They get dragged even by wind. But sometimes by some means they gain power and if they keep on gaining power they can be quite harmful. However they get powerful only after evening and mainly at night. So  it means they avoid Sun. Buy a solar light or solar torch. Or keep a candle burning or sleep in the room where fire exists - the fire burnt in cold countries. Keep flowers nearby you - the waves arising from certain flowers are helpful in opposing the negative and dark powers that arises from a powerful ghost's body.

Chanting mantras can also help as it concentrates your mind on  God and so distraction of ghost does not work on you. He gets tired if you do not give up. But if he is more stubborn then we can only expect God to interfere. Again its destiny. Fight back well and survival is yours - This is the eternal law of nature.

That's pretty scary. If it comes back, maybe you could try asking it what it wants (though my own impulse would be to hide under the sheets ;-) ).  It might not be a mean ghost, but instead one that is trying to help you or give you a message.

If it seems like a malevolent spirit, and if you're religious, you could try praying. Also, if you believe in it, you could try asking some of your dead friends/relatives to help. I had a very bad 'presence' in my apartment for a while when I first moved in. Finally, I asked my (late) Grandma to help protect me. She was quite a feisty woman in life, and apparently is still one - after I asked her help, the presence went away. I'm sure she 'asked' it to move along and leave me alone.

If that's not your thing, maybe you could look for a talisman.

If "the ghost comes back" just tell it to leave you along" and go away! it will...most of the time they are wonting your help..or are lost....

Have you had any other experiences in your house, foot steps, noises, apparitions? A spirit standing at the foot of the bed can be a good thing, he/she may want to let you know that they are looking after you or they could be trying to tell you something. The most important thing is not to be scared, don't let this sighting deter you from going to sleep tonight and if it is to return and you do not want it there, tell it. Simply say, let it know it's free to move on and ask it to leave you alone. If you really want to get answers, put a voice recorder next to your bed and let it record while you are asleep and in the morning listen back, see if the spirit attempted to communicate with you, if it did, you may be able to find out why it's visiting you, if not maybe it left you alone. Please let me know what happens.

well man first of all if it was at the foot of ur bed means its still in ur house but its nothing to worry about..and u could try talking to it cause if its an itelligent ghost then it probablly jus want to be heard and if u cant hear with ur ears then get a voice recorder(EVP)..one thing u cant forget they cant really hurt u..but talking to it should work ive dealt with this stuff since i was little so good luck

sleep...you may want to make sure no one broke into your house and lock all your doors and windows. I'm not one to believe in ghost but I will accept that some people have had weird "encounters". If you're really scared you need to look into both the physical world for answers and then see what could mingle on the "other side". And yes praying to God does help...if you have God there's no reason to fear anything like what you're explaining.
