enter your gmail id and password to orkut login it will automatically add you to orkut

ask a friend of urs, who has an orkut profile to send u an invitation to join orkut...

check out your login domain whether it ends up with .com or .co.in. if its .com , change it into .co.in or if its .co.in , change it to .com. Also, check the spam guard , and make it off. Hope it will help u out.
