  1. First, remove the 1gig stick

Then download memtest86 from http://www.memtest86.com/ and make the bootable CD.

Then remove the 2  256 sticks, and put in the 1 gig stick.

Then, boot to memtest86 and allow it to check the RAM for a while.  An hour should do the trick.

If it is good, shut down, add the 512 back in, and boot to the memtest86 cd again, and allow it to check your RAM.

Try the RAM in different slots if all checks out fine.  Try setting your BIOS to default settings if all checks out fine.  Run your spyware scanners (if you don't have them, get them.. http://www.malwarebytes.org and http://www.spybot.net )

  2. Log into www.crucial.com and scan your system

  3. may be u have inserted DDR2 ram into ur comp and thats why it restarting..

the same thing happened with me .. hten i changed my 1 GBDDR2 ram to DDR1 ram ....

    then it worked correctly..

  4. You might have some bads on your RAM memories.Check them.

Also check is the microprocessor supports your RAMS.

Usually the microprocessor is the last thing anybody would think of.

  5. First clean all RAM's contact place using a dry cloth.Place RAM one by one (first 1GB then 256 MB like..). Find out the deffective RAM.Avoid using the deffective RAM.

  6. take out your old RAM and see if that stops it, if it does try updating the BIOS. The motherboard should clock down the faster RAM so maybe its not and hopefully the BIOS update will take care of that.

  7. Explode ur RAM into pieces. Mind u 1000 pieces only.

  8. You can't. You have to have the same RAMS capacity on all slots.

For example; you got 4 slots on your motherboard for the RAM.

Make sure if you have 256MB on one, then all of the slots should carry the same RAM 256MB. You can't put different RAM capacity into the s***s your computer wouldn't improve performance and your rams will not should in full.

My suggestion, Get rid of your 256Rams and put 1GB RAM in the first slot and gradually add another 1GB ram on the other s**t and so on.

    Best Of Luck

  9. Place the 1GB stick in the first slot then add the remainder.

    Enter BIOS settings.

Do nothing there except Save and Exit.

    Should solve your problem.

    d;o)

  10. Get ur ram replaced with the same speed ram. There is no way.
