  1. some compressors have a high presure release valve on the back of them,if you over fill the system it could be releasing there, also if you cooling fan(s) are not coming on it will build up high presure, hope this helps. GOOD LUCK!  


  2. that means you have too much pressure... you added too much freon. you should have a little sticker under the hood that will tell you the capacity of your system... most cars are 30 to 36 oz. or around 2 pounds. do not add more... if you continue to over pressure your system you'll buy a new compressor

  3. When adding refrigerant, it is to be added to the valve up near the evaporator(by the firewall) not by the condenser (in front of the rad.)

    Read the directions on the can & make sure you are adding the correct refrigerant. Most newer vehicles use 134A.

  4. Sounds like you have a leak at back of compressor. Probably the seal for the manifold line.

  5. It's time to get the car to a mechanic who knows how to repair this.
