He's three months in the indoor pics at 21 lbs, and four months in the outdoor pic at 25 lbs....Help! I'm afraid of him being bigger than 50 lbs. The pound says boxer-sheppard mix, the dog trainer says golden lab-hound mix.

He is still a foster dog until he's fixed on the 5th of Sept. He won't leave my sweet cat alone because he wants to play so much

  1. I speak in portuguese no in English yes?

  2. well if its a boxer it could get to 50+. and if its a lab or golden it also can get to 50+ i have a lab and he is 75lbs. you have a med/large breed. and if he always wants to play try taking him on longer or more walks

  3. He's adorable! Here's a tip - you can almost always tell the adult size of the dog by looking at the size of his paws. So He shouldn't grow too big, medium sized I would expect.

  4. He looks more like a boxer shepherd mix and if he is he will probably grow pritty big !

    x

  5. male boxers weight ranges between 60 and 70 pounds

    What kind of shepard?

German Shepard - males tend to range between 77 and 85 pounds

Austrailian Shepard - males weigh between 50 and65 pounds

Anatolian Shepard- males weigh between 100-150 pounds (he resembles this breed in the nose)

Male labs weigh - 60-75 pounds

And hounds come in all sizes.

With a mutt its hard to know unless you know exactly whats in him.   So i think you are looking at anywhere from 60 to 150 pounds.   Depending

YOu can try this trick take his weigh at 4 months of age and multiply it and see an estimate but it doesn't always guarentee.

Without specifics its hard to know

  6. hes already 25 pounds at 4 months, hes going to weigh more than 50lb....id say at least 65-80 lbs.

  7. i think he will be pretty big but not really really big! he also looks sooooo cute!! i would love to have that dog, but i already have one! but anyway i think he will get pretty big! my dog looks alot like him and he is 50 lbs. so he probadly might be 50-65 lbs.!

  8. Growth plates on the head and legs are large. I'd say he'll be between 80 and 90 pounds and 25 inches at the withers. He looks like a rhodesian ridgeback mix to me.

  9. i dont think he will get much bigger than that

  10. He will probably be 60 - 70 pounds.

  11. He's a cute pup!  He may go over 50 lbs.

  12. It is hard to judge how big a mixed dog will get because it depends on the traits they picked up from each breed. It is especially difficult when you cannot be sure of the mix. They usually stop growing much in length/height after 6 months. Then it is just muscle mass. I doubt the dog will be more than 50 lbs. If you are having a problem with playfulness and hyperactivity I would recommend puppy training class. It is very helpful with young dogs. He is a cutie, though! Good luck!

  13. aw hes so adorable!

h**l definitly get bigger, but not extreme.

hes still a young age for 4 months, but probably around 50-70 lbs. if any less, it shouldnt be healthy
