  1. You might want to drain the oil, put in the proper amount, clean the spark plug and it should be good to go

  2. Don't tip the mower on it's side.  I have no idea why these idiots keep saying to do that.  There is a drain plug on the bottom side of the engine.  Put the mower on blocks so you can reach under it.  Remove the plug and drain the oil into a pan.  Replace the plug and refill to the full mark on the dipstick.  Check the air filter, if it has oil on/in it replace it too.  Don't tip the mower on it's side you will get oil where you don't want it.  Just do it correctly.  You have to be careful when you read some of the answers on this site.  Some people shouldn't be allowed to respond.

  3. Check your owner's manual for correct method of draining the tank.and when you do, give plenty of time for it to drain fully.

  4. Just drain the oil and start over.  You don't want to run it with too much oil...u chance blowing the seals.

  5. I would invert it and drain as much out as possible(you won't drain it all out)Put fresh gas in it,let it sit in the upright position for 30 minutes, and retry it.

  6. Tip the mower over on it's side to drain the oil. Upright the mower and check the oil level with the dip stick. Add enough to reach the full line on the dip stick. You should be good to go.
