I adopted my dog to save gas money?

I found that I was running all over the place trying to find entertainment and activity, wasting gas ,and not really getting anything done at home. I adopted a well trained adult dog from the animal shelter to make staying home more pleasant and active. It's incredible how well it has worked out, I always have company and always have something to do @ home, I'm living greener and I saved a life.. Do you know anyone you could suggest this to?

  1. That's awsome!  Good for you!  I do know a couple that could use this advice but the guy does not like dogs(he dosen't know what he's missing).  Anyway, you did a really cool thing.

  2. I already have a dog and 2 cats. I had 3 cats but someone killed one of them. People around where I live shoot your animals any chance they get so I try to watch mine closely, but with cats that is not always possible. This is not the first time one of my cats have been killed. One day the neighbor and I found 9 cats that had been shot and killed. Without proof of who is doing it, there's nothing we can do. We can't watch them 24 hours a day and even keeping them in the house, sometimes they run out when you open the door.

  3. I would get this story to your local news for maximum exposure.

  4. Dear Friend,

I wish more people experienced your epiphany. Animals are naturally "green" creatures, and pets can make humans more humane.

  5. i am amazed at your story we do the same thing i think this is a perfect solution will suggest this to all my friends.

    --thanks so much

  6. Hey, that's great to hear.  I volunteer with a German Shepherd Rescue group, so, that is how I "get the word out" on the benefits of pet ownership and saving a life by giving a GSD a "forever home".

  7. Finding ways to conserve gas these days does require some ingenuity and it seems that you have done 1 thing in life that saves you gas and saved a dog at the same time. Good for you! We should all share ideas, such as yours, for everyone to benefit on gas savings as well as finding ways to improve our lives. I would like to suggest, to my friends as well, that as a group going out for the day or evening, to the beach, shopping, or dinner, we take the most fuel efficient car available to the group. Start developing smart habits regarding energy conservation. Thanks for this jump start to help get me going even more.

  8. anybody

  9. Way ahead of you. When my husband took a job as a long haul trucker. I found myself alone a lot, running the roads, lookingfor something to do. Now, I'm home, walking , grooming and playing with my "girls", two rescue cockers.
