They look fine. Not infected. We are taking care of them. Trouble is she is used to sleeping on one side or the other. She says that it really really hurts. Last night she was up until four a.m.! Any advice other than tylenol or motrin? Thank you!

  1. you shouldve asked the doctor if its ok.

  2. well i believe you should have considered this before you allowed a little girl to have piercings.  did you not think that this would hurt????  Poor little child cant even sleep because of pain that was unnecessary.  give her some tylenol but i dont believe this will help a whole lot.

  3. Just before going to bed aplly little coconut oil in the peirced hole.u dont have to remove the earings.Coz if u remove it chances are that it wud become horribly difficult to put them back.So just apply some coconut oil and make her sleep on her back for a couple of days.It should be absolutely fine within two days.Dont worry. And u dont have to give any medicines for this.Besides this really worked for so many of my cousins and me.I also have my nose pierced.

And if this helps : I am an Indian.

  4. b the parent, use ur head, its not that hard, a little common sense goes a long way

  5. I got my 6 years old peirced when she was 4. I found these backs that cover up the pointy part on the back. This way it would not poke her behind the ear. You can find them at you local wal-mart in the jewelry department. And another thing make sure that the earring can't get caught in her pillow.

    Good luck!

  6. She is just going to have to change her sleeping position until some of the swelling and soreness has gone down. You can use ice for now.

Suggest she sleep on her stomach or on her back.

If she must sleep on her side--prop her ears (away from the pillow) with a towel. The problem is the pressure from her ear tight against her pillow. You need to take some of that pressure off.

In a few days, the pain should be better.

  7. There is nothing to be done except change her sleeping position.  She will have to put up with it.

  8. did they use a adult ear piecer gun or a kids one? Can be in to tight! Loosen a bit. Don't forget to turn them, so they don't crust over. Buy a softer pillow. Or the pillow that wraps around the neck.

I wonder will she ever bother you for a belly piercing now?

  9. try making a "doughnut" out of a towel.  Help her to position her ear over the "hole" and get comfortable so she can sleep.

  10. at nite take the earring outs soak them in alcahole for the earrings then give ur kid some child tylenol an motrion

  11. Other than Tylenol or Motrin, I really don't know what you could do other than her sleep on her back.  Maybe you could put pillows behind her so she could angle to sleep on her side, but not actually be on her side.  If it's just the earring post pressing into the back of her ear bothering her, you could try putting a cotton ball behind it to pad it.
