I almost hit another car, can I get sued?

I didn't do a shoulder check when I was switching lanes, and the other car had to swerve. If they got my license plate, is there anything they can do with it? I really don't want to pay a fine or have my license taken away.

  1. The only way you could be in trouble is if a police or highway patrol officer saw you and stopped you for reckless driving. Since that didn't happen .. You are OK ..

  3. No, mistakes happen, you didnt get into a crash or make them crash so they have nothing on you...
