now that I've had my taxes done and know the information for sure, do I have to go back and redo it? or is it fine like that? Also, I already had to do a correction because there were mistakes, is it ok if I have to do it AGAIN?

  1. Yes, you can go back and make corrections anytime before the due date for your university.  Also, entering that tax information will allow them to consider you for financial aid.  Without it, they will not consider you and will assume you do not wish to be considered.

    Good luck!

  2. You do have to make corrections to your FAFSA.  No school will work with a FAFSA that is still in a 'will file' status.  It cannot be processed.

I've seen FAFSA's with 4 or 5 corrections to them.  They can be a little tricky to do on your own.  I work with them every day and can almost do them in my sleep.

Obviously, corrections mean there is a good chance that you will be flagged for 'verification'.  Be prepared to give your school a signed copy of your 2007 income tax return.  30% of all FAFSA's come up for verification so don't worry!

    Good Luck to you!
