  1. It depends on the vitamin.  Vitamin C is water soluable, which means your body uses what it needs and the kidneys filter out the rest.  Mega doses of Vitamin C can upset your stomach though, as it is somewhat acidic.

  2. Although vitamin C is a water soluble vitamin  and your body will eliminate excess amounts it's best not to exceed 2 grams (2000mg) a day because this often causes diarrhea. So if you are not over this amount it's fine. However you would not want to take extra Vitamin C if you are a diabetic, on blood thinners, prone to kidney stones or are getting a stool occult blood test. As for taking more vitamins I would continue what you're doing and get the rest a your vitamins by eating fresh vegetables and fruits.

  3. Just take the multivitamin. taking both is just a waste of money.  You aren't getting any extra benefit by doing so.

  4. Your body doesn't store Vitamin C.  You can take a multivitamin with it.

  5. That's safe b/c you will urinate out any extra Vitamin C that you don't need. But if you are getting 100% vitamin C in your multivitamin then maybe you won't need the extra vitamin C.
